Ama Love is the Co-Founder and President of SÏMEMA Strategy Partners, LLC – a specialty global wealth management and business advisory firm, headquartered in Houston, Texas since 2011, with operational assets in Washington D.C., Anguilla, Canada, Nigeria, and U.A.E.
In January 2017, SÏMEMA (“SeeMem.a”) was aligned into two functional business units: SSP-Wealth (dba: AMA LOVE & Assoc.) and SSP-Envoy.
SSP-Wealth: a network of experts working together with our clients to provide first-class, tailored, and comprehensive solutions to protecting assets, accumulating wealth and preserving generational legacies. We manage portfolios and estate of highly-skilled professionals, executives, and small business-owners within the energy, healthcare, and franchising industries who are based in ten (10) U.S. states and abroad.
SSP-Envoy: a business and government advisory services unit focused on innovative solutions to viable international public-private-partnership (P3) initiatives. We have served as official trade representatives for ministries in Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Jamaica, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria and Tanzania, as well as on various U.S. congressional initiatives.
Ama is an expert financial, risk and wealth manager, and an award-winning international public-private-partnership business development official who is passionate about creating opportunities that foster entrepreneurship, promote socioeconomic wellbeing, build generational wealth, and strong legacies for Sub-Sahara Africans in the diaspora and on the continent. Her entrepreneurial acumen stems from over a century family heritage — her paternal grandfather is the (late) Pa. Alhaji Jimoh Akintola Odutola (1905 – 2010) — a pioneer of modern industrial business in Nigeria and Global Industrial Conglomerate. Prior to launching her full-time private practice in January 2011, Ama served for over 15 years in various positions in major Fortune 1000 multinational companies; and has managed over a billion dollars combined total assets.
She has received numerous awards for her civic and professional development programs to include Walker’s Legacy Foundation “Power25 Houston” Award (2017); ROADWomen “Business Woman with a Heart” Award (2014); and three (3) U.S. Congressional Awards. Ama takes pleasure in mentoring and empowering black professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs. She enjoys her philanthropy work with Houston Food Bank; Girl Scouts; TCWW Children’s Ministries; programs focused on the advancement of blacks in Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM); the Nigerian-American Multicultural Council—where she received the 2018 (inaugural) NAMC Champion Award; and the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE-Houston)—where she received the 2013 (inaugural) President’s Award.
Officially, Ama serves on the Export Outreach Team of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA); Congressional Steering Committees; Global Business Roundtable (GBR: Houston Honorary); and National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA). She also served on the City of Houston Mayor’s International Trade & Development Advisory Council for Africa, where she was appointed as the first female Chair in 2014; and on the Board of Governors for The Center for African Economic, Political and Security Improvement (Washington D.C. based, 2013-2015)
She graduated from the University of Tennessee magna cum laude for her Bachelor of Science in Business Administrations with specializations in Finance and Economics (honors); and a Chancery and Golden Scholar for her Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in Entrepreneurship and Finance (honors). She also holds Graduate Certificates in International Trade and Accounting & Information Systems.
Ama is a vibrant mother of twin girls and an American citizen with Nigeria and Sierra Leone ancestry. When she is not working, Ama enjoys world travels and spending time with her family and friends in a variety of sports and interests which foster her intercontinental cultural flavors and relations.
